Hating Yet Craving Pain

When the room is dark, To sympathize with emotions, Lit by a mere candle, a small flame, And I’m curled on the floor, Staring at my fingertips, As they drip with a red glimmer Alongside tear after tear in the candlelit glow, I feel nothing. But a craving for sweet, sweet pain. Trying to sleep it all away Rid my head of its monsters Pill after pill, another and another. Living is such a burden. I am broken I am beaten I am hopeless And alone. But it’s not enough. I crave pain I long to bleed I want to tear My heart and flesh I want to feel something Best it be what I deserve So give me love And cause me pain. Mostly pain.
